My Philosophy
As a Washington DC Bankruptcy Lawyer, my primary goal when I wake up every morning is to help whoever may call my office and help them find the best solution to fit their unique financial situation.
I worked at big law firms early on in my career and I was disheartened by the fact that I had little client contact. After all, I became a lawyer, went through 3 years of law school, and passed the bar exam, to help people – not to sit behind some desk working for some faceless corporation. After my long struggle with big firm life, I decided that I wanted to enter into a field where I could truly help people. I fell in love with bankruptcy because it allowed me to sincerely help people in a great deal of stress, find the legal means to actually wipe away their problems. I am so excited about practicing bankruptcy in Washington DC because everyday I get the chance to be the one who can save a family from financial trouble.
What Makes My Law Firm Different
There are a LOT of lawyers out there, probably too many. There are only a few good lawyers out there and there are even fewer who are good and actually care about their clients. I will let my experience and knowledge speak for itself if you read through the rest of my site, but as far as my sincerity and willingness to help, I do not think there are many lawyers who go the extra mile like I do.
When you call my law office, I make it my duty to either speak with you directly right away or to get back with you within a few minutes. In order to get through to most lawyers you have to navigate through an endless maze of secretaries and office assistants just to reach your lawyer. My phone line is directed to my cell phone so that when I’m not in the office, I am still available to my clients.
Though I do not live in Washington DC, I always make it a point to be available to my clients. Usually, if we can work something out over the phone or by email that is the best solution. If need be I am always willing to meet you in one of the many office spaces that I have available to me to meet clients in Washington DC.
I will always recommend a plan for you even if you do not qualify for bankruptcy. I have many clients who call my office each week with a variety of financial circumstances. For some clients, filing for bankruptcy is a no-brainer. For others, it absolutely does not make sense and I tell them right away. Often, I will inform them of bankruptcy alternatives that would be more suitable for their situation. Others, it is more grey whether bankruptcy is right for them. In these situation, I present both positives and negatives for filing and in many cases advise the client to go home and think about it and do what they feel they are most comfortable with.
I give all my new incoming clients a free over-the-phone bankruptcy consultation where I assess their finances, their own personal situation and help determine whether you qualify and/or if bankruptcy is right for you. This is usually a 10-15 minute phone conversation where I am able to make it pretty clear after hearing your story what your best route is given your financial situation. If you are interested in receiving a free over-the-phone consultation, please call me at: (202) 540-9224.
